Scrum Alliance® offers the Advanced Certified ScrumMaster® certificate. The Advanced Certified ScrumMaster® certification online session is the first step on your Scrum journey to the next level. Agile is a lifelong journey, and becoming a Certified ScrumMaster was the first step in that direction. Scrum Alliance recently introduced A-CSM® certification as a new and optional step toward becoming a Certified Scrum Professional. The Advanced Certified ScrumMaster® (A-CSM®) training course is recommended if you have a year or more of experience working in a Scrum environment and an active Scrum Master credential.

  • Access your scrum Alliance account by logging in (Every professional with active Scrum should be able to login)

Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) Certification & Exam FAQ's

To be eligible for the A-CSM exam, professionals must complete a two-day in-person A-CSM course with a Scrum Alliance certified scrum trainer.

To become a Scrum Master, you must complete a two-day A-CSM training course led by a registered Scrum trainer. You can take a practise test after the course before applying for the actual A-CSM exam.

You must meet the following requirements to be considered for the Advanced Certified ScrumMaster® credential:

 

  • 12 months of Scrum Master® work experience in the last five years with an active Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) certification.
  • You must have completed all educator-designed components of the programme, including pre- and post-course work, and have attended a registered A-CSM educational offering.

You must attend two days of training under the supervision of a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST®) and complete all educator-designed components of the approved educational offering to earn the A-CSM® certification. This could involve work done before and after the course to meet the learning objectives.

 

You will be able to receive your A-CSM® certification as soon as you agree to the License Agreement with Scrum Alliance after satisfactorily completing the course and providing you have validated 12 months of Scrum Master work experience within the last five years.

The Scrum framework continues to improve as a consequence of the interaction and contributions of those who share their ideas and practical experiences in the workplace. After successfully completing the two-day course led by a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Trainer® (CST®), you will get the Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM) certificate.

You earn 16 PDUs by participating in Skillier’s A-CSM® training program.  

After completing any certification course, the Project Management Institute awards Professional Development Units (PDUs) and the Scrum Alliance awards Scrum Educational Units (SEUs) to the candidate. They are awarded to acknowledge the professional’s participation and to verify their understanding of Scrum’s principles and procedures. Every two years, you must achieve a specific number of SEUs to maintain your Scrum Alliance certification.

You will obtain the A-CSM certification from Scrum Alliance.

It does not offer an official A-CSM® exam, unlike the CSM® Scrum Alliance. In order to receive the A-CSM® training certificate, your Certified Scrum Trainer will give you several assignments to complete.

The Advanced Scrum Master training is a two-day learning experience for Certified Scrum Masters with at least one year of experience who want to advance their learning, development, facilitation, and coaching skills to become true professionals. In order to claim the A-CSM® Certification, you must report your experience in your Scrum Alliance profile. There is no need for additional verification.

Yes. Your one-year Scrum experience should have occurred within the last five years. It is regarded as legitimate even if it is obtained prior to acquiring a CSM® credential.

You can take the online A-CSM® course Workshop before you have one year of experience, but you must have one year of experience to achieve certification. To achieve an A-CSM® Certificate, you must have one year of experience. You can attend the class right now, but you may only be eligible to claim your A-CSM® credential once one year of experience has been validated.

You must have a current CSM® certification to get an A-CSM® course certified. You can still take our class if your CSM® hasn’t expired after 90 days.
